"Of Premonition and Transformation"

" Of Premonition and Transformation" has been liked by several well known jurors in the area! I won a merit award at the Random Acts of Artists show recently at the Trumbull Art Gallery in Warren Ohio! It was juried by James Pernotto.

Secondly it was juried into the Martinis with Monet show put on by the Cranberry Artists Network and juried by Peggi Habets! This show is ongoing and will be up until August 19th! It is so nice to have a piece received well as it gives you a little boost and the incentive to keep going! I have much gratitude for the inclusion! 

I have some other pieces in the works but have been occupied with gardening this time of year!

Almost a year!

It has been almost a year since my last post! We  are still dealing with Covid which is just awful! Several people we know have had it and some have sadly passed away! I haven't been able to visit our granddaughter that was born last April!! Some horrible threats have been made to our democracy and sometimes i feel like we are living in a nightmare! 

On to artwork, last year my previous sculpture was accepted into the Erie Art Museums Spring Show, a nice honor! Only the second time I have made it in the show! It was delayed due to covid and it was by appointment only with no reception! 

Now I have been working on some smaller scale sculptures with lots of fun details! I am really enjoying these pieces! The one above was inspired by John Denvers song "Of eagles and horses"! It was difficult to pull off but I am so happy with the result! 

This one is a sea turtle in an ocean habitat! They are endangered due to human activity and pollution like so many other creatures! sad!
